Gary started his career with Alexanders in 1985 and is the Company’s longest serving (current) employee. He gained top marks in HB for his year in achieving his Advanced Trade Certificate (1990). He showed a talent for site management and was promoted to Senior Foreman in 1999. He became the “go to” guy for our large contracts or ones that had other challenges around timeframe or complexity. He has been our Site Manager on the Kainga Ora infill programme, Gracelands retirement village, Waipukurau New World and the first stage of the Pettigrew Green Arena. Gary’s other building of significance was the $30m Elephant Hill Winery project.
