Napier Girls High School – Gym & Labs

Two separate projects were completed in late 2022 and ran concurrently, being:

An upgrade of 4 existing science labs, a storeroom and staff office.

Structural strengthening of the existing 1970’s gym and upgrade to the fire protection system.

The gym was particularly challenging as all of the existing internal linings were removed and replaced with a plywood bracing system. The height of the gym’s upper walls and ceiling meant that an extensive scaffolding system was needed. Adding to the access challenges were product delays due to Covid. Our team successfully completed the projects and the client and architect were very satisfied as can be seen from their comments.
