This project comprised of the complete re-clad of the exterior of 2 substantial 3 level buildings at the Palmerston North campus. Approximately 75 metric tonnes of Asbestos based spandrel panels are being replaced with a STO Armat render system. The membrane roofing system to the 1 metre wide concrete sills is being replaced with a new Sika liquid membrane, and the associated rainwater drainage system concealed within the spandrels is also being replaced. The new spandrel soffit lining consists of a profiled prefinished insulated panel system in extruded powder coated aluminium channels and angles. The existing window sashes are being replaced with a combination of around 1,100 opening and fixed sashes.

Constructed in six stages, the overall project duration is in the vicinity of 26 months and is due for completion around March 2023.
