HB Sports Park North Wing Extension

The project was an extension to the existing Gymnasium building including offices on a mezzanine floor area and toilets and storage on the ground floor.

It comprised a mix of precast concrete panels, structural steel and metal cladding.

Extensive temporary protection was required to allow the existing building to continue to be used once the end wall was removed.

Significant ground water issues were discovered when excavating the foundations. We worked with the design team to provide a solution to allow
foundation construction to progress. This involved dewatering the site and placement of mass concrete fill below the underside of the foundations in order to get a solid base under the foundation.
