Ray’s involvement in construction started in Wellington with James Wallace as a student labourer and he progressed to Mainzeal after leaving school. With Mainzeal backing, Ray completed studies with NZCB and progressed through various management positions until fulfilling the role of Project Manager on a number of projects with Mark Hamilton in Hawkes Bay.
Ray joined Alexander in 1998 as a Project Manager for Splash Planet redevelopment and the National Aquarium. Taking a break from building, Ray took up a Contracts Manager role in 2002 with a General & Civil Contractor before working for himself in business in 2004.
Ray rejoined Alexander in May 2020 in a QA and Compliance role including mentoring and developing Site and Project Managers. While in this role Ray completed project management of Port Ahuriri school redevelopment and managed Bay Tyres Hastings new build.
Ray is currently our Operations Manager.
