An ex-prefect of Napier Boys High school, Marcus began his career with us as an Apprentice Carpenter in 2002 on the Ocean Spa project. Marcus has grown with each challenge, in the different roles that Alexanders has opened up for him, and he is one of our stars. He has built octagonal houses, undertaken seismic upgrades in occupied buildings, alterations in working hospitals and worked on large multi-storey buildings. His experience is wide and varied. He has been involved in a leadership capacity on most of our technically challenging projects in the last 10 years, including the Elephant Hill Winery. He was involved in the $15m Mental Health Unit at Hastings Hospital, the internal alterations of the Napier Health Centre ($650k), an industrial building in Karamu Rd, Hastings ($920k), the Maraenui Medical Centre ($1.13m) and the Royston Hospital projects ($31m). Marcus has a calming nature and is a natural teacher, readily sharing what he has learnt with our younger tradespeople. Our clients speak very highly of Marcus and the team he has built around himself.
