Manager

“I aim to give our clients the smooth stress free experience, solving any problems that arise while building the joinery team to be strong and successful (Awesomeness). I consider joinery to be the “jewel of the job” and the team always walk away from a finished job with pride”.

Andy has more than 30 years’ experience in the joinery trade, having worked his way from apprentice to foreman, estimator and now manager. He leads a team of seven—including installers, craftspeople and office staff—bringing deep technical knowledge and a passion for timeless craftsmanship.
From historical homes to landmark public buildings, Andy specialises in bespoke joinery that’s true to the era of the architecture, including Victorian and Art Deco detailing. His team has delivered significant large-scale projects such as Summerset Te Awa, overseeing all joinery for kitchens, bathrooms, the main building, hospital facilities, dementia care, nurses’ stations and the library.
Hospital joinery is a particular specialty of Alexander, and Andy has supported numerous Hawke’s Bay healthcare projects, creating highly technical joinery for X-ray and imaging suites, MRI theatres and other specialist environments.
Andy also brings extensive experience in the education sector, crafting bespoke inbuilt joinery, play areas, exterior timber elements, doors, windows and unique cultural features such as waharoa.
Skilled in CAD, 2D and 3D rendering, Andy brings concepts to life before crafting each piece through CNC machining or traditional hand-built methods. It’s a specialised craft—and one he is committed to preserving. Andy actively passes this knowledge on to his apprentices, several of whom have gone on to win Apprentice of the Year multiple times.
