NZCU Hastings

Scope of work

Completed in July 2019 this was an early contractor involvement project working with a repeat client on a cleared site in the centre of Hastings.  We were involved in reviewing the design details as they were produced and providing recommendations around building constructability, weather-tightness risk and the expected impact on the construction budget.

A two story building sitting on a gravel raft we had a tenant driven deadline to work to that became a challenge to achieve when the complex design and consenting process chewed up half the available construction period.  We looked to reduce the impact by staging the consents and giving the tenant an option to begin their fitout while we still occupied the site.

Comprising of a modern finish with hanging screens, aluminium glazed partitions, acoustic ceilings and extensive joinery, our team worked hard to achieve the March completion for the client.
